Belinda's Nana Jones' Welsh Cake Recipe

Ingredients
8oz self raising flour
4oz fat ( she used marj and a little lard, I use all butter)
3oz castor sugar
1 egg and a little milk
We like to add a very generous sprinkle of cinnamon and sultanas
In a bowl rub together the flour, spices, sugar and butter, until they look like breadcrumbs.
Add sultanas, egg, milk and combine until a soft dough.
I like to turn it out and knead it together at this point.
Roll out & cut.
Heat a bake stone or heavy based frying pan.
Rub a tiny bit of butter on the stone, bake on either side for a few minutes until they feel firm when pressed.
Transfer & sprinkle with sugar whilst still hot.
